Location

XDnet's UK servers and shared accounts are located in the world-class BlueSquare Datacenter based in Maidenhead which is only 20 Miles West of London, UK - Right in the heart of UK internet.

Network Connectivity & ISPs

Each Dedicated Server includes 100 Mbps, fully-switched port on an edge switch. Each edge switch is then connected to two separate aggregation switches at 1gbit, with failover redundancy, meaning even if one fails we remain online and serving your websites.
Our network transit connections are currently Level 3, Tiscali, and Deutsche Telekom. We also peer with approximately 150 ISPs at the peering points LINX, XChangePoint, and LoNAP.

Server Hardware

We use Dell chassis and the latest state of the art Intel CPU's for our servers.

Security

Constructed with security in mind, the data center is within its own secure compound, with 2.4 and 3 meter fencing and electric gate entry Equipped & monitored by CCTV at all times. Access is restricted by proximity reader access that records all access to the data center, & monitored round the clock with closed circuits.

Hardware Guarantee

All servers deployed at the Data center include hardware replacement guarantee. XDnet guarantees rented hardware components and should hardware fail, you can ensure it will be replaced and back online within 24 hours at no cost to the customer.

XDnet's US servers, including our SHOUTcast packages are located in the GNAX Datacenter based in Atlanta, Georgia (USA)

Network Connectivity & ISPs

Each Dedicated Server connects via a dedicated 100mbps line, using state of the art Avaya ANS BGP management system optimizing the routes on the 6 gig network in real time 7000 times per minute based on traceroute performance to ensure that your servers have the highest performance routing vs a simple bgp configuration.

10 Gig Metro Ethernet ring for the core routing with dual feeds of all aggregation routers ensures 100% uptime with some of the best uptime in the business. The Data center includes redundant Cisco BGP routing and switching infrastructure with cold spares - allows for datacenter equipment failure with no interruption of service.

This Data center uses large pipes of quality providers to handle spikes in traffic and the occasional DoS attack as well as unknown traffic patterns in the case of a primary link failure. This is why our network minimum Internet backbone connection is 1 gig pipes. We currently have 4 backbone providers and are publicly peered with 12 providers such as Google and Earthlink. Our current network consists of Gigabit links to Global Crossing, PCC-BTN, SAVVIS, Telia and the Atlanta Internet Exchange public peering point - No bottlenecks, no network downtime, 100% Guarantee!

Hardware

Power

Our US data center maintains an excellent power setup, which initialises UPS (uninterruptible power supplies). The UPS system uses 4 Main State of the art UPS systems, using 2 Generators within ground 5000 gallon fuel tanks to ensure a constant power supply to all servers - 1.5 Megawatt and 800 KVA. Connected to the most reliable power grid in the state of Georgia through quad vaults on 4 feeds - these protect the main hospital in Atlanta so it is on a last outage program as critical services and were extensively upgraded for the Olympics. The data center has not had to use our generators in 5 years.

Climate

The climate within the data center is maintained by 8 22 ton Redundant Liebert Air systems providing consistent temperature and humidity range in the datacenter ensuring your servers run in an optimum environment.

Security

The Data center facility incorporates state of the art ID system and security including video surveillance and recording with all entrances requiring biometric scanning in combination with card key to prevent unauthorized access.
