You can now submit your .XXX applications with XDnet.

Please note that in the Sunrise phase orders are NOT processed on a first-come, first-served basis as with most domains, so there is no queuing or pre-ordering required.

Don’t forget that all orders in Sunrise AT and Sunrise B require documentation to be provided as only trademark holders and owners of existing exact match domains in other TLD extensions can apply for .XXX in Sunrise.

Valid & successful Sunrise AT/AD orders will result in a resolving domain being awarded to the registrant, unsuccessful AT/AD orders will be applicable for a partial (£45) refund.

XDnet are pleased to announce we have now launched a new dedicated server for our shoutcast customers, the new server enables XDnet to provide a more stable and flexible shoutcast hosting service.

XDnet has recently changed the control panel on our main shoutcast server from WHMsonic to CentovaCast which provides more features to end users and will hopefully prove to be a much better streaming experience!

Because of this change we have had to recreate users account which has meant a temporary downtime on streams, this was unavoidable and we are sorry for any users affected, all users who should be are now back online.

Over the coming weeks we will be publishing the new shoutcast plans and also hope to get some in depth tutorials of shoutcasts features and how to get the most out of your stream.

We are very pleased to announce that off-site backups is now back in operation!

What this means:

All users can expect their account(s) which includes files, databases, email accounts and everything to be automatically backed up to another server every single day, meaning should something go wrong we can recover your account for you meaning minimal (if any) data loss.

Backups are taken daily, weekly and monthly.

Backups are generally stored for one month and will be deleted periodically to minimise costs.

This also means if for what ever reason you require a backup of your account we can provide it (for a small fee).

As you may have noticed we have been missing Fantastico from our shared servers for the past couple of weeks, but its now back!

It took a little longer than expected to sort out licensing and getting it installed, and we are just sorting out some of the settings and files, to try and get all users previous installations fully setup on the new server.

This may take a couple of days but hopefully your current installations will be all safe and sound by the weekend.

Fantastico put simply is a script library, a huge selection of great scripts which you can easily install with a click of your mouse and have a blog, forum or almost any type of script running in a couple of minutes.

XDnet is also working away at some new products and more getting more information on XDnet, and plans to put more emphasise on other products we do, and will be providing. Okay, after 5 hours, 3 cups of tea a bowl of noodles and lots an lots of bad language, the accounts have been transfered.

Unfortunatly we experienced a few hiccups with our account which has xdnet.co.uk on it so the site was doing all sorts of funny things, but now appears to be fine.

It appears all other accounts transfered fine, however if anything seems wrong please do tell us so we can get right on it.

Over the next few weeks we will be optimising the server to make the most of the new power and security.
