This means our users can drill down even further into their listener statistics and easily see who and where their listeners are listening from!

We are pleased to announce we will be providing limited phone support to our users.
The service will include Sales, Tech Support and a Billing/Accounts line on a 0845 number (a local number will also be made available for overseas users and users who cannot call 0845).
Unfortunately for now phone support will be limited and is primarily being run as a trial, while operators are unavailable users can leave us a message and we will give a call back as soon as possible.

Unfortunately our primary shoutcast streaming server has suffered a major issue within the datacentre.
It appears the main iSCSI disk node has suffered a critical crash, the datacentre are working on recovering and making available the data ASAP, once the data is available again we will be reinstalling all accounts onto our new and improved shoutcast server which should me more reliable as it is a complete dedicated server and doesn’t rely on network storage.
We are hoping the Datacentre can resolve this issue ASAP and the new server will be fully online with all accounts soon.
Hopefully most users will not need to change any settings as we will be transferring the main IP used to the new server also, however once all accounts have been transferred all users will be emailed with full details of the incident and any new information.
Customers should please accept our deepest apologies for this down time, there was simply nothing we could have done to prevent this, we are taking all actions we can to remedy it and you will be able to enjoy a much faster streaming server as soon as possible.
Once the incident is closed all affected clients will be able to receive generous compensation.

We have now added UK off-site backup to our UK VPS and Dedicated Server packages, all packages include 3 FTP accounts and Unmetered bandwidth and range from 2GB to 50GB in backup storage space.

Just a quick note to let users know, we have upgraded our Monty server with a little more RAM and diskspace to ensure the new users have plenty to go around.

XDnet has recently changed the control panel on our main shoutcast server from WHMsonic to CentovaCast which provides more features to end users and will hopefully prove to be a much better streaming experience!
Because of this change we have had to recreate users account which has meant a temporary downtime on streams, this was unavoidable and we are sorry for any users affected, all users who should be are now back online.
Over the coming weeks we will be publishing the new shoutcast plans and also hope to get some in depth tutorials of shoutcasts features and how to get the most out of your stream.

We are pleased to announce the new .tel TLD is now available with XDnet.co.uk
Because .Tel is a brand new TLD currently it isn’t as straightforward as registering your .com or .net domain, we will attempt at breaking this down step by step below.

Sunrise for .Tel started Wednesday 3rd December 2008 3pm. Sunrise is the introductory period where trademark owners can claim their .Tel domain and to deter abusive, such as people bulk buying trademarked names, such as Apple.tel and Microsoft.tel
Trademark owners are welcome to register their trademark .Tel and should note:
- Application date for trademarks should before 30th May 2008
- If there are more than one valid applicant for a .Tel domain it will be processed in a “First come, first served” basis.
- The minimum registration period is 3 years
Landrush:
- Anyone is able to apply for a domain
- The minimum registration period is 3 years
- If there are more than one valid applicant for a .Tel domain it will be processed in a “First come, first served” basis.

We are pleased to announce that we are currently completely revamping out shoutcast structures and packages.
We are currently putting together the new packages, which we hope to get into our system, and the website within the next few days.
Existing Shoutcast users:
We are in the process of setting up your streaming accounts on the new server (info about the new french DC will be added soon) and will email you the details once everything is complete.
Also it should be noted that unlike the US shoutcast which includes hosting we have chosen not to include this, to provide a better hosting experience for all users the shoutcast server will be used exclusively for shoutcast.
Of course we aren’t going to leave users without web hosting for their sites, so we are transferring the streaming to a similar package and providing all existing shoutcast users a FREE Basic web hosting account (you can of course upgrade hosting should you need to).
We are also in the process of transferring clients website files to the new hosting accounts, please bare in mind any changes made to your settings or files on the US Shoutcast account may not be fully synced to the hosting and/or stream. If you have made changes inform us and we can make sure everything is properly synced to avoid issues.
Domains, any users who currently have domains for their shoutcast, domains managed by XDnet will automatically be re-configured to point to our server when required, domains managed by other registrars please contact support so we can advise on required changes.
